Getting Set Up

So to get a mom blog started, you have to put a lot of effort into the set-up. Mom blogs are sometimes just for pleasure, updating friends and family or act as a diary but in more recent years, Mom blogs are a way for us faced with the issue between caring for our children and supporting our children to try and earn enough money to support ourselves. Of course I am looking to write for other websites as well to supplement my income (a suggestion I make to other bloggers to not only hone your blogging skills but to generate income while you are gaining popularity) but between the two, I'm out of time. How do I find the right affiliate programs? How do I want to set up the page? I want to set up my page so I have several streams of thought running side by side, like shopping deals, stuff I love, how-to projects, home finances, random thoughts/phrases- things that make up my life, but I am having trouble figuring out how to post to each page individually (then have a combined blog on the home page). I'm sure it's something simple. It always is. And I also don't want this ad ridden, trashy looking website! I want to make money, I want my readers to enjoy this, but who enjoys a website with a thousand ads? No one. Oh, and getting people to come to my site. I need to reach out to the mom blogs that  read most and tell them I enjoy their blogs, I need to start my own, and would like to please be a guest writer with links to my site.

I'm sure you're wondering why I'm putting what amounts to a diary entry into my revenue generating blog. Because I'm REAL. I'm sure others have started and abandoned mom blogs, want to start a mom blog or are in the middle of the process and know how I feel right now. It's nice to know that you're not alone in your frustration.
